Unguided Hunting

As you can see, my family and I love hunting and fishing and call Coffman Cove our home. My boys have successfully harvested their first Black-tail deer and Black bear at the young ages of 4 and 5 years old. We love the game of fair chase hunting and are blessed with the meat that gets us through the year.

Prince of Whales Island is a paradise for the do-it-yourself hunter. Accessible road systems that seem like they go on forever. Our alpine, muskeg, and timber are teaming with wildlife and game. Black tail-deer, black bear, and wolves are commonly harvested.

We offer lodging, rental car, and friendly hospitality. There is a local taxidermist, and a local store where you can purchase your tags, and get animals sealed locally. We highly recommend you check with The Alaska State Fish & Game before booking your trip. Checking season, licensing, and availability of tags. We are located in Area 2C in Southeast Alaska.
